Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa, An Ihg Hotel, Glasgow

The hotel's location is brilliant, overlooking Blytheswood Square, a lovely park with a small enclosed seating area. The rooms were clean and comfortable, featuring a smart TV with Bluetooth and projection options. However, my bed was broken upon arrival. The service was beyond helpful and friendly, with staff paying attention to every detail. The dining experience was very good and the facility offered valet parking. It was noisy due to city center location.

The hotel offers spacious and wonderfully appointed rooms with direct access to the spa, but noise from outside can be disruptive at times. The location is central and convenient, overlooking a lovely park. However, the dining experience was inconsistent, and the spa overcharges past off-peak hours.

The hotel's rooms were modern and bright, though the enormous chandeliers could be toned down a bit. Overall, the decor was very comfortable, and my room overlooked the quiet side street, despite being next to the noisy laundry room on the ground floor. The early morning street noise was a downside for a peaceful rest.

The hotel had a misleading room size compared to online pictures, with the sofa uncomfortably close to the TV. However, the service was exceptionally helpful and courteous. The location was of good standard, between 6 and 9 in the evening. The dining experience was below average, and the price was high for the value.

The hotel is located in a nicer area of Glasgow, but it's poorly situated right beside the lift and under the temporary bar. The proximity to the main thoroughfare to many other rooms can be disruptive, especially on Mondays.
